Heading in the wrong direction?

This morning I am travelling to a convention and looking forward to meeting some great people and having some great conversations. I want to get straight there. Things aren't that simple.

Roadworks on the Severn Bridge mean a drive of 10 miles or so in the wrong direction, Rail works mean 30 minutes of train travel 'in reverse' and so the journey is far from straight. Assuming that setting off in the wrong direction won't get you to your goals might be a costly mistake.

Sometimes, to reach a goal, you need to go backwards.
